Future Project

There are currently several researchers, agencies, and consulting firms developing sediment and nutrient models for the Yahara Lakes. After the completion of these models, we plan to incorporate these modeling efforts into INFOS to provide real-time information. Therefore, the real-time nutrient loading can be embedded into the INFOS hydrodynamic model to provide information into which loading source sites may contribute to large lake disturbances. The nutrient transport and fate dynamics produced from numerical modeling can help to establish quantitative relationships between the water quality response and external forcing functions.
