- The property where Warner Park now sits has been used as a park since 1898. At that time the beach was on private land and was over 2,200 feet long. Warner Park Beach
was established in the 1930's and named after a previous president of the Madison Park and Pleasure Drive Association who started the process of acquiring the property for public
ownership.
From 2005 through 2009, Warner Park beach was closed 14 times (39 days total) for blue green algae, and 3 times (12 days total) for bacteria.
